Risk Assessments are completed for any visit or activity which is different to normal classroom practice or involves any element of risk.
The staff who are undertaking the trip or activity complete a risk assessment, tailoring it to the specific needs of the children who will take part. This is then checked and submitted to Evolve by Miss Richards. It is then checked and signed off by the headteacher. Any residential visits are then submitted to the Local Authority for checking. Sometimes specific children may need an individual risk assessment for health or SEND reasons. We are happy to do these with parents to ensure the needs of your child are being met.
We have specific risk assessments for any new or unusual activities as well as for our school pets (in Foundation Stage and Year 1).
Below are specific risk assessments for after school and breakfast clubs.
