Homework includes daily reading and other activities to directly support their children's learning, particularly in literacy and numeracy. We love our children to be creative with their learning so often set project based homework as well as more formal activities. Please see individual letters on the class communication pages or see your child's class teacher.
The children have also been given specific learning through online apps: Nessy, Spelling Shed, Times Table rockstars. If you are unsure of their passwords for these apps please look in their organiser or speak to their class teacher.
We know doing homework with your children can be stressful and we don't want to make life harder at home than it needs to be. Please follow the advice given by Pobble below on supporting your children. If however, homework is still too challenging, read to your child or get them to read aloud to you. Developing their reading skills will support them in all other aspects of school life so read, read, read!
If you feel you would like additional activities or guidance regarding homework please contact the class teacher as soon as possible.
